Oscar Javier Martínez

Oscar Javier Martínez, also known as “Oxama,” is a musician, music journalist, and producer based in Oaxaca. Since 1994 he has worked in radio and, since 2001, in music as a percussionist, arranger, and producer. He co-founded Cinema Domingo Orchestra with Steven Brown (Tuxedomoon), creating original scores for silent films, and has collaborated with artists such as Ana Díaz, Lila Downs, and Susana Harp. He currently leads Mori Trío and hosts El Sexto Continente, a jazz program with over 2,300 broadcasts.
